Having fun

"Wait up Daddy! You know my legs are shorter than yours"

Austin in a tree. Next year he will be able to hold on all by himself.
You should see how many times Nana and I have brought him to a tree to take a picture. The first several times he absolutley freaked out. Does the tree look scarry?
This time however...he went to it with no problems what so ever. He even has a smile.

The ride home. Austin decided to put his arms up and relax. z z z z z z z z z

Austin and the planes

Poppy and Austin taking a walk around the planes
How sweet is that?
Marc, Austin and Poppy at one of the helicopters. There was actually a funny story to go with this shot. You see how the rope is down behind the guys? Well, we all thought that meant "Go ahead...you can walk inside this helicopter" Apparently we were WRONG WRONG WRONG and the cleaning lady let us know! ha ha She very promptly informed us that we were not to be behind the ropes - she had taken that rope down to plug in a vacuum. (which is plugged into a socket on the floor - no need to move the rope at all)
Austin and Marc
Here I am! I actually do exist people. Me and Austin having a good ole time at the museum.

Austin having fun with the planes

Can you possibly see how happy Austin is to be there with his Daddy at the entrance of this plance? Now... would you believe it took us 3 times to get him to walk up to the plane without screaming bloody murder? Once he realized he was safe and it actually was fun...he just wanted to get in and out in and out.
Marc and Austin inside the big plane.
Where did Austin go? The only thing I see is his hair!
Austin ended up blending right in with the plane ! What a trip.

Austin's first Hurricane

Marc, Austin, Nana and Poppy left in the wee hours of the morning to avoid Hurrican Gustuv. Originally, It looked like the storm was coming right for us and they predicted it was going to be another "Katrina". I stayed behind..I am on hurricane duty at the hospital. I figured I was safe though since the hospital survived Katrina. We ended up only getting a lot of rain with heavy winds and lots of tornado warnings.
Austin and Marc at What A Burger. I met up with the family here after the hospital announced "ALL CLEAR"
Well, if we are going to run from the storm we may as well make the best of it and have a good time. We decided to take Austint to see all the helicopters and planes at the Army base nearby Enterprise. Overall..it was a real nice museusm.
"Hey Austin...what can you see through the window?"
Austin high on top of his Daddy's shoulders.
Marc and Austin having a great time together.

House pictures

This is our foyer. The ceramic tile here is multicolored with shades of blue in it. The doorway to the left leads to the dining room.
This is a shot of the kitchen and breakfast nook. The kitchen is over twice the size of our old one and the breakfast nook table was our old DINING TABLE. (that's how small our old dining room was)
This is the dining room and beautiful beautiful table and chairs. The table expands to seat 6. The table and chairs are all solid oak.

A different shot of the kitchen.

House Pictures

Shot of our back yard. The red steps start at the back porch (which is off of Marc's office)
Our above ground pool is 27 feet in diameter 5 feet deep. We have enjoyed it very much.

The white door with an oval glass cut out it the door that leads to Marc's office.

The glass door to the left is the house back door that leads into the living room of the house.
Nana and Austin on the living room couch.

This is an overall view of the living room. The back door leads out to the carport and to Marc's office. As you can see...we have a lot more room than the old place.

Pictures of our new house .

Look at our cute front porch. We even have white rockers and swings. Poppy made the swings. and we LOVE THEM !!
We had our land cleared shortly after we moved in. Before the only thing that was cleared was just the area for the house. Our landscaper removed 68 loads of debri ! Wow
BUT he also hauled IN 78 truck loads of DIRT ! DOUBLE WOW !! Wow Wow
Needles to say..the property was a little tiny bit low when we moved in.

If you go down our gravel driveway...to the left is our carport .

Our landscaper put the gravel driveway in also. We hope to concrete the driveway someday.
Nice view of the front porch. Notice the ceiling fans. They sure do come in handy in the August heat.
See....you end up in the carport if you follow the driveway. The carport works fantastically for parties also. Being so close to Nana and Poppy we just drive the vechicles over there and clean the carport up and BAM we have an instant outdoor party area. We would like to add ceiling fans to the carport within a year.

Yes...I have a minivan... but I LOVE IT. It is so freakin comfortable. PLUS we can ride everyone in one vechicle which is great.
This is a shot of our back porch which is off of Marc's office. This porch also has ceiling fans and is enclosed in our back yard fence.

Poppy's Birthday on August 21st

"Man...are all those candles for me?"
"Yep..I guess they are"
Ah..how sweet. Me and Daddy (Poppy)
Look at all the pertty candles. I took this shot upside down like a big goober. ha ha
Happy Birthday to you !!! Here comes the cake !
Poppy blew out all the candles in one big puff. Wow..he has got a set of lungs on him!
